Clarín El Gran DT
Having established fantasy football in the UK, in 1995 Dream League pioneered the launch of the fantasy football format in Argentina with newspaper Clarín.
Profiting from the enormous local interest in football and a proactive and ingenious media partner, El Gran DT received over 1.16m postal entries. This huge response required every datacapture house in Buenos Aires working 24/7 for a week to process the coupons.
The format was then successfully rolled out across the continent to El Comercio in Peru, El Tiempo in Colombia and El Mercurio in Chile.
Game sponsors included Coca Cola, Cerveza Aguila, Banco Santander and Hyundai. Distribution and fulfilment outlets included Casa supermarkets and Presto fast food restaurants.
